SW-MOTECH Expands its Range of Accessories for the BMW R1300GS

The latest GS generation kicks off 2024 with maximum buzz. Everyone wants to see it, hear it and ride it. BMW has updated the bike so much that nearly everything is new: chassis, drive train, engine, suspension and ergonomics.

In late 2023, SW-MOTECH presented an accessorized R1300GS at its EICMA booth—and in combination with the absence of BMW—it generated a great deal of interest with show visitors. Important additions such as side carriers, engine guards and crash bars were already fitted to the bike and now SW-MOTECH is expanding its product offerings even further.

Multiple GS Luggage Options

The new flagship ADV bike from BMW weighs an impressive twelve kilograms less than its predecessor with the weight being trimmed across the entire bike. This is clearly visible with the tank, which has been reduced in favor of extending the seat and now appears significantly less bulky.

This has no impact on the PRO tank ring system’s attachment mechanism used for PRO tank bags. A total of four models from the PRO series fit the new GS tank including the PRO GS Tank Bag with up to 20 liters of usable storage. To play it safe in the worst weather, 2024 GS riders can choose between three waterproof “WP” tank bag models including the brand-new PRO Micro WP available now.

A reliable luggage system is essential for setting off on longer tours with the R1300GS. The robust TRAX ADV Aluminum Cases are quickly attached to the carrier and offer abundant lockable space for gear. The waterproof and dustproof cases are available in the M version with a capacity of 37 liters and the L version with a capacity of 47 liters. Both models are available in black or silver.

If you need even more space, you can mount the TRAX ADV Top Case on the Adventure Rack. For the complete package, the Adventure Luggage Set includes a complete luggage system (all three cases) with matching racks for the side and the rear rack, all offered as a convenient bundle.

DUSC and SysBag WP Luggage Options for the BMW R1300GS

The brand-new DUSC hard case is a perfect match for the new R1300GS, both visually and functionally. Its panels are made from robust 3D-textured ABS material and then wrapped in a sturdy aluminum perimeter frame. The result is a tough, dimensionally stable and lightweight case. DUSC cases are extremely versatile, suitable for sport-touring, commuting or more adventurous off-road duty.  They can also be used interchangeably as a side case or top case.

For soft luggage options, the waterproof SysBag WP L Side Bags are also compatible with the new BMW flagship and offer ADV styling and functionality.

On or Off-Road Safety

From engine protection to crash bars and crash pad kits: SW-MOTECH accessories guarantee the best all-round protection for the rider and critical components of the bike.

It is particularly important to protect BMW’s boxer engine from damage and fitting an engine guard made of robust aluminum alloy makes perfect sense, especially for extended off-road tours. State-of-the-art manufacturing processes give the model-specific protective parts a secure fit. The engine guard extension made of brushed and powder-coated aluminum protects the front area of the engine block from chipping.

When developing the crash bars, SW-MOTECH took the new lines of the R1300GS into account. The robust steel tubes provide effective protection for the cylinder and valve cover. The upper crash bars are fitted as a supplement to the crash bar and primarily protect the fairing of the motorcycle.

The axle crash pads on the front and rear axles prevent damage to the swingarm or fork in an emergency. Additional protective products are the manifold guard and the heel guard, which prevents contact with the hot exhaust or swingarm movements.

More Riding Comfort and Safety

SW-MOTECH also offers ergonomic accessories for the R1300GS. Both the EVO footrests and the foot brake lever extension improve riding comfort, particularly useful when riding off-road. The milled gearshift can be infinitely adjusted to find the optimum shift position.

The new LED matrix of the new “X” headlight promises an increased level of safety and better visibility in road traffic. With SW-MOTECH EVO fog lights, the big GS becomes front and center in its well-deserved spotlight. Even when the weather takes a turn for the worse, there will be no worries about seeing or being seen.
